Does KnowItAll support proxy services?
 

Answer:

Wiley’s KnowItAll® desktop software (Spectroscopy, ChemWindow®, and other editions) and KnowItAll AnyWare online services do not support the use of proxy services or third-party authentication. Proxy access is neither sufficiently localized nor secure enough to comply with export law requirements for these products.

The KnowItAll desktop software can only be activated when not using proxy access. Thus, if a customer is using a permanent proxy/VPN, we recommend license activation offline using the KnowItAll Activator app (available in the Apple App and Google Play stores). For KnowItAll AnyWare online services, we recommend access secured by a unique username and password.
